Hi blog you have been dead for about one month /revives

Now back to business. As you know, there are failures for RSC (yes there are failures in our section) despite us asking you all to practise and us saying that if you need any help, you can ask us. Besides, the CO store can be open for you after school or even during your recesses, all you need to do is ask. So the results are disappointing, we really hoped that you would do better. Yes, the cello you used might have been one that you were not familiar with, but if, touch wood, your cello were to go out of tune during SYF, do you tell the judges that the reason why the entire cellobass section was out of tune was because you used a cello which was unfamiliar to you? Do you think they will accept that reason? Do you think they will even care?

You might have had gastric pains or whatever, but if it really affected you that badly, would you even be able to play? The main point is, even if you had any reasons such as anxiety or whatnot, RSC is a pretty good gauge of where you stand. So no, there will not be retests.

Anyway, here's what we want to say:

1) Don't talk so much during CCA
Yes, it's hard to resist the urge to talk but it is very distracting and do you always expect us to shush y'all when you get too noisy? Breaks are there for a reason. Speaking of which, if we try to help you improve your skills as a group, do listen and do not start talking among yourselves when someone's problem is highlighted as you might also have the same problem or similar problems which can easily be avoided. You are also disrupting us as we get distracted and it defeats the whole purpose of helping you improve.

2)Pay attention to the conductor
No matter if it is Liu Lao Shi or Vera or the Sec 2 conductors, it is important to pay attention to them, do not just ignore them and continue doing your own things, especially if they are starting a song. There are many instances when the conductor has already started the song and the bassists are still sitting down and the cellists are staring into space. Do take note of what's happening.

Speaking of which, bassists, you have to pay extra attention to Liu Lao Shi. He always has to wait for you to stand up so that he can start conducting the whole orchestra, so effectively, you're making the whole orchestra wait for you. So here's the deal: If Liu Lao Shi has to wait for you to stand up again, you remain standing for the rest of dazu.

Honestly, it doesn't please us to do this. Karyee has to spend her time composing smses to get you to behave yourselves during CCA and nagging at you like a old woman time and again, and she isn't joking when she says that she sends the most number of SMSes in the whole of cellobass history. We didn't even get such long smses during SYF,and we really don't want this to become a tradition.

On a lighter note, we do know that we have neglected you because of our SYF, and we are trying to bond more with you, however awkward or scary we might seem, so do us a favour and practise more so we have more time to have fun. We are probably going to have a section lunch or something soon, hopefully, we can be closer as a section!

HI PEOPLE THE CONFIRMED DETAILS OF SECTION OUTING IS OUT!

Okay wait the last one has no link! ~~Shit he kinda looks like me when I give the pedo look~~

Anyways, for you pigs out there, we're meeting at 8:30AM at HARBOURFRONT MRT! (in case any of you dk how to get to Sentosa, eg me.) BE ON TIME (I WILL WAKE UP AT 7AM OKAY.) Unless there is a traffic jam or you get lost somewhere. In that case, happy finding your way to Sentosa mwahahaha.

We'll probably be at Sentosa till around one but the GV Vivo hasn't stated the movie timings yet! It might be slightly earlier or later depending on what you guys wanna watch.

Currently, the movies that are showing are:

1) Kung Fu Panda 2

2) X-men first class

3)Super 8

4) Pirates of the Caribbean

5) Animals United (cartoon)

The other movies include some M18, NC16 and some Chinese movie. Hohoho.

Hi am really sorry for the delay! As most people have been daoing my sms, the date for section outing is back to the 17th of June. For those who don't know, it's Sharon's birthday on that day and Rachael's birthday is on the 15th of June whoohoo. So I guess we're gonna celebrate? HAHA.

After months of absence, I have decided to make a comeback (?)

Anyway, I was talking with Lynn and we both agreed that we are in a desperate need to a section outing during the June Holidays. And I wanted to create a poll to ask you guys opinions, but my knowledge of blogspot (or lack therefore) prevents me from doing so. Tsk. Which reminds me, I have another question. Guys, don't you think it's time for us to move to another uh, blog site? I mean, blogspot isn't all that nice (fine, for me, since i have no idea how to use it.) 2. Movie/Video Marathon at idk whose house.

I really didnt think we could do it. I thought we screwed it up and i felt responsible for it cos i couldnt lead you guys well enough. Thats why i cried, it wasnt really about our results, but rather that i felt that i 对不起你们。 i was so prepared to send 'sorry' to all of you plus our seniors after we received our results. i cried so badly when results were going to be announced i was like quite numb.. it came as a really pleasant surprise

Finally, results hve shown that the efforts were (Y) .

Hi guys. Hmmm.. So, syf is coming real soon so lets all give our all okay? I know that you guys are practising hard but as mr lee said, the judges look at the outcome, not the process. So no matter how hard you prac, if it doesnt sound nice, it just isnt nice. Sec 2s, some of you are really not playing very well so do prac okay! And take recess prac seriously, even though it may end up to be only like 20 minutes or something, it can make a difference. . . I understand that you all have like tuition and stuff on some cca days but do try to make it for practice okay. Afterall, its only 25 days more. Its time to chiong. Last time slack can, but now, no. We have improved for the zheng1 begining and the plucking, but im sure you can tell that its still no-no. What we need is the HARMONY, so sound TOGETHER, and move the judges. . . One person's effort is not enough, we need to whole section. So jiayous!

PRAC PRAC PRAC! i've noticed A FEW ppl who's standard arent up to par ah. im already trying my best le, so prac hard too peepo! Okay, and remember to MOVEEEEEEEE while playing, esp the set piece. MOVEEEEEEEEEE with the music, MOVEEEEEEEEEE as your bow goes up and down up and down. Feel the music in you, feel it running through your head, through your heart. You guys don't see that Jonghyun fools around, jokes around, but his emotions have a lot of up and downs. He cries easily and he get touched easily. When they got their first rookie award; when they win Mubank for the first time; when taiwan shawols showed him their support. He's a huge softie at heart. ;__; The grossed-out expression with Key was when Minho was introducing the next group and he winked at the camera before being embarrassed. Jjong and Key doesn't like it, thus the grossed-out expression (Best friends indeed. Even their expression and thinking's the same.)

Okay, i'm officially spamming the blog. Wdv. Did my pic spam work on anybody? ): Did I manage to brainwash anybody into k-pop or liking SHINee or wdv? There's another pic spam today! Cause I'm too bored. In case anybody doesn't know, I did a Pic Spam on Taemin alr, so today is Lee Jinki, better known as Onew.

Debut Days:

I think this should be the Replay days if I'm not wrong. Onew's hairstyle has very little changes so it's quite difficult to discern. I think I might breeze through Key's pic spam. His hair always undergoes drastic changes for every different concept.

He has an awfully bright smile. Not to mention having a killer voice. Sighh.

Reality Show:

OH LOL. THIS. ONEW SANGTAE. IT WAS SO DAMN FUNNY. HE KEPT FALLING AND SLIPPING THAT HIS MEMBERS KEPT LAUGHING. Seriously, killer voice, good looks, bright smile, cute. The only thing that he lacks is a sense of balance.

I LOVE HIS HAIR. HIS HAIR DURING THIS PERIOD MAKES HIM LOOK SO CUTE THAT I FEEL LIKE SQUISHING HIM. He goes well with the colourful concept, mainly because I think he has a very, very, VERY nice smile. Watching him smile makes me feel like smiling too.

I have to admit, his initial Ring Ding Dong hair was unflattering. It didn't look nice on him. It was like little spikes on his hair, but THANK GOD the stylist unnies toned down on it after a while and he started to look better. :D

Ring Ding Dong Performances:

Yes, you didn't see wrongly. It's his sweat and you can see his make-up coming off. But he's still very professional though. It's wondrous how they have to perform and sing at the same time without sweating an abnormal amount. But Onew here proved that they're human too. (BUT HE STILL LOOKS GOOD. WTF, LIFE'S UNFAIR.) He's so cute in the last picture!(Y)

Some Summer Event:

(compared to other sections) But do bear in mind to continue to practise harder and stuff cos the sight reading piece i chose was considered not hard. HAHA. Anyways, just to inform you guys. Your RSC will be in week 9. The set piece is third movement, bars 143 to 300. (as in w/o the middle cancelled parts.) As for sight reading, its a secret! :D HAHA. But do make sure you can read notes fast, no prob for the MEP girls i guess. But for basses, dont give excuses that you always only read the numbers! you hafta learn to read notes!

Libertango! [in case you dont know like how to play each cello]

Cello 1
1. Play Cello 1 Bar 1-15: 2 person play and remaining Cello 1 players play Cello 2 Bar 1-15.
2. Then, play Cello 1 Bar 16-31: All Cello 1 to play. Repeat once.
3. After that, play Cello 2 Bar 48, replace the quaver rest with a B note of A string, after that playing the rest of the notes in the bar. (after that jump to Cello 1 Bar 49)
4. Play from Cello 1 Bar 49-56.
5. After that jump to Cello 3 Bar 57-64.
6. Lastly play Cello 1 Bar 65-72. [repeat once]
7. Play Cello 1 Bar 73.

Cello 2
1. Play Cello 2 Bar 17-32, with 32 playing only the B note of A string (one note only then rest for the remaining bar). [ARCO]
2. Repeat step 1 but pizz this time. Bar 32 play the B note on the first rest beat then the rest of the notes are arco.

I must say that it is a miracle that I actually remember the account username and password (because I usually have a really short-term memory). Anyway, it's been so long since I last posted here. As for who I actually am, please judge by my writing style. Not that you will be able to recognize me but yeah. You know, I tend to digress.

So my point is. To be frank with you, I don't exactly have a point. I decided to blog here because I simply have nothing to do and I'm simply too lazy to update my own blog. One of the seven deadly sins that I'm committing is Sloth. Check it out at wikipedia.

Xue Jun had gone to Australia on Sat to further her education. I am going to miss her really badly, especially since we have been classmates for 6 years in primary school and schoolmates for 4 years in stnicks. It's really rare to find such a friend like that. So all I can do is to pray for her to be healthy and to take good care of herself in a foreign country. Who knows when she comes back to visit next holiday, she may already hav a stead? Well, a girl could dream. Okay, maybe 'a friend could dream' suits this case better.

I realised that my command of english is really poor now. I'm like talking nonsense. My sentence structures and grammar are really horrible. I'm going to fear for my GP greatly. I wanted to take KI. All the philo stuff is going to get me really excited, but I can only take 4 H2. I want to appeal to take 5. Okay, it's not possible, I'm just dreaming. And I believe my handwriting will suck like who knows what when school reopens in two days' time.

It's scary. Time flies so fast that when you look back, you exclaim, "HUH?! I thought O levels end yesterday only you know." Okay, that may be a hyperbole. No, I'm trying to sound chim, really.

So anyway, just wanna tell all the juniors to work hard and play hard my dears! Especially the sec 4s, don't be too stressed until you hav a nervous breakdown. Remember that all your seniors hav been able to overcome this huge O LEVELS phase. We have done it. And so you can do it! Always keep the faith. I know things will get really tough and you might feel like giving up, but hang in there, because you can do it.

Okay, I know this is probably getting on your nerves since it's like really really lengthy and I'm practically 'nagging' at you guys. But I haven't post for like decades. (Again, an exaggeration) So just watch me crap.

THIS IS YOUR LAST YEAR IN SECONDARY SCHOOL!
I know this is the dreaded O Levels year, and since all my lovely Sec 4 juniors (omg I feel old) are in Comm, there's gonna be added stress juggling school work, CCA and your outside commitments.
There's gonna be moments when you feel extra down and you're on the verge of giving up, just come to any of us cause we'll be there for you!
But whatever it is, just do your mighty best, persevere on and chiong all the way to the finishing line alright?

To the Sec 3s,
I hope you guys all like your new subject combinations!
Not very brand new subjects, but brand new topics!
And your common test/homework formats are gonna be really different!
Well you're gonna be learning more in depth stuff now, so DON'T SLEEP IN CLASS!
Just keep paying attention, do your homework, and treat your multiple common tests a week seriously cause it really helps!
Your teachers are gonna be harder on you now cause it's officially O level preparation year!
And start speaking chinese like a mainlander cause you're taking your chinese Os this year!
If you have China scholars in your class, GOOD! Go chillax with them!
Don't end up like me, speaking chinese like an ang moh, and getting a stupid B3 for chinese -.-
(But I got distinction for oral eh HEHEHEHE)

To the Sec 2s,
Hello Sec 2s, YOUR HONEYMOON YEAR OF NO EXAMS ARE OVER!
Sorry I had to say that, but don't worry too much, exams are not as bad as you think, so just JIAYOU!
You're finally gonna have juniors soon! Excited!?
Haha it's very anti-climax one, so don't expect much.
And although it's a pity that you had to move to a new holding site after integrating into the amk st nicks environment, BE PROUD CAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY ONES AMONG US WHO ARE GONNA BENEFIT FROM IT!

Anyway, I feel so sad that all my juniors have grown up and matured (yes you have! and yes, I know I haven't matured much) right before my eyes!
Urgh I'm crying as I'm writing this post right now, cause these are all my heartfelt sentiments and everything I've wanted to say from the bottom of my heart.

So this year, promise us you'll bring cellobass to greater heights!
Use your eagle eyes to recruit a new batch of rising talents into our section, just like you guys are!
Really, I can still vividly remember the day each and every one of you entered our section, Shimin, Kaising, Wei En, Wang Guan, Melody, Cheryl, Ruiyi, Rachael, Lynn, Sharon and Kar Yee, how I looked at each one of you and thought to myself 'They display great potential, and they are gonna be the best juniors I can ever have"
And I was right! Oh the tears, joy and laughter you guys brought to me.

And of course, my fellow Sec 4s 09', who always went crazy with me, and were always a great pillar of support to me.
Even though I dreaded going for CCA, hated seeing Lee's face and his pompous attitude, the sight of you guys' shenanigans, mischievousness and enthusiasm (nice way of saying insanity) kept me going.

I'm gonna miss every one of you when I leave! (YES! Me and XJ are leaving for Melbourne! D; )

I am very sorry but to break this news to u guys.

Due to the fact that CCA fair will be on 9th Jan, we only got 2 practice when school reopens.

In order to get ourselves ready for the ensemble, we must meet up during the last 2 weeks of the hols to practice.

Since all of us have our sch cellos at home, then I guess we will be using them.

The song that we decided to use for the CCA fair is Canon in D.

However, we did not even play this piece together before, therefore we must meet up.

We will be practicing at rui yi's house.

Most likely we will put the practice on tuesdays and thursdays.

Pls sms me to tell me whether u free on the days stated: 22, 24, 29 and 31.

You also have to tell me whether you have scores for it.

If we are unable to make it for practices, we may really have to stay back when sch reopens.

Therefore we need everyone's cooperation thanks.
